Mystic Woods By Butterfly Conservatory, Goa


Mystic woods is a butterfly sanctuary in Ponda, Goa. It is built like a park where one can stroll around and have a peaceful walk. Currently they have more than 100 species of butterflies. They also came up with a wonderful idea of rainwater harvest and creating it into an artificial waterfall and a pond. You might not come around the butterflies but you will be surprised by the efforts of two people put in this place.



Arvalem Caves / Pandava Caves


Not many people know about heritage sites in Goa. One of which is Arvalem caves, also known as Pandava caves. Its history dates back to 6th century B.c and known to be the place of refuge for Pandavas of Mahabharata during their exile. The caves were also used by Buddhist monks as a residence. Although there is no evidence of who created the caves.



Netravali: A Bubbling Lake


This magical lake is located in the middle of a spice farm in Netravali, South Goa. The name bubbling lake comes from the Konkani word ‘budbud’ which means bubbles and the sound that bubbles make. Its name comes from the fact that this freshwater lake keeps on bubbling on different point. Also you can get a free fish pedicure here when you put your feet in the water.



Pequeno (Bat) Island

For those who is seeking adventure this is surprisingly the perfect place. The Pequeno island is famous for snorkeling. There are some tour operators providing training and equipments for snorkelling. It is an ideal spot for one seeking for an adventure and for a pleasant getaway.

Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary



As Goa is famous for blue water and dazzling sun n the beach, one can also find its peace in greenery. Cotigao wildlife sanctuary being one of the natural reserves of the state presents you as an offbeat place to visit in Goa. You can also stay overnight there at the forest guest house they provide with prior permission.

Baman Budo Waterfall



Bamanbudo waterfall is not an overhyped waterfall. It is a small roadside waterfall that can be reached without much difficulty. You can make a quick visit to this waterfall with your group of friends when beaches are in busy hour with packed tourist.
