Chitrakoot Waterfalls, Chhattisgarh



Did you know that it is the largest waterfalls in India, and also may be the widest waterfalls in Asia. It is popularly known as “the Niagara Falls of India”. The water falling rapidly form white falls. You will witness many rainbows formed when sunlight reflects in water grains from water falls.

Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu



Located in the south-eastern end of Pamban Island in Tamil Nadu. This is the offbeat beach destination where you won’t find many tourists but enough sand and water. Witness the sight of mighty Indian Ocean and its abundance of beauty. Dhanushkodi is called the ghost town after the lively town was devastated by a deadly cyclone in 1964. If you go there you will also find remains of the town.

Gandikota Canyon, Andhra Pradesh



Just like we have our own version of “Niagara Falls”, did you know we also have our Indian version of “Grand Canyon”. Yes that’s true, Gandikota is known as India’s Grand Canyon or Desi Grand Canyon because of its spectacular gorge formed by river Pennar through the Erramala hills. When you stand on top you will get a spectacular view of the gorge. Also there are remains of Gandikota fort that was once used by many dynasties.

Gurudongmar Lake, Sikkim



Gurudongmar lake is considered as one of the highest located lakes in the world. It is located at an altitude of 17000 ft in the north-side of the Khangchengyao range and is surrounded by snow covered mountains. Here is a fun fact about this lake, half part of this lake doesn't freeze during winter while other part of the lake freezes. There is a myth about this lake, it is said to be a blessed lake that possess the miraculous power of granting children to issueless couples. Interesting right?


Kuldhara, Rajasthan



There is nothing much to see in this abandoned village but just the remains of the village. But the story of this haunted village makes everyone curious to visit this place. Legend says that about 200 years ago, to save the daughter of village's chief from a powerful Diwan of the village all the villagers fled one dark night. Till date no one knows where they went and no one have witnessed their flee. It is believed that the curse of those villagers still remains and is considered as a haunted village
