Overview

Discover the magic of Iceland on an unforgettable 8-day, 7-night Iceland group trip from 1–8 March 2027. Explore Iceland’s spectacular glaciers, volcanic landscapes, waterfalls and black sand beaches, with visits to iconic destinations including Reykjavík, Akureyri, Húsavík, the East Fjords and Vík.

Experience the relaxing geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon, explore a man-made ice tunnel on the Into the Glacier tour, and enjoy a whale-watching excursion from Húsavík. Discover the dramatic lava formations of Dimmuborgir, the geothermal wonders of Námaskarð, the powerful Dettifoss waterfall and the floating icebergs of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.

Continue along Iceland’s scenic south coast to visit Skaftafell, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. The journey also includes the famous Golden Circle, featuring Gullfoss, the Geysir geothermal area, Friðheimar Farm and Þingvellir National Park. Enjoy an Icelandic Lava Show in Vík and discover locations featured in Game of Thrones.

Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive at Keflavík International Airport, meet your driver-guide and travel towards Reykjavík via the famous Blue Lagoon. Enjoy the geothermal waters with Comfort entrance, towel rental, a silica mud mask and a non-alcoholic drink before continuing to Reykjavík for hotel check-in and leisure time.

Notes

Check-in is not until 15:00 hrs.
Keep in mind that due to narrow streets in Reykjavík City Centre, many hotels do not have enough space for a coach to stop outside. Walking distance for passengers can be up to 10 minutes, depending on location. We will arrange a shuttle to transfer the luggage that passengers need to pick up outside their hotel.

Day 02

Into the Glacier Tour – Drive to Akureyri

After breakfast, check out and embark on the Into the Glacier tour, exploring a man-made ice tunnel inside a glacier. Discover the fascinating glacial ice and surrounding scenery before continuing on a scenic drive towards Akureyri. Arrive at the hotel for check-in and dinner.

Day 03

Goðafoss – Whale Watching from Húsavík – Skútustaðir

Visit Goðafoss, the spectacular Waterfall of the Gods, before travelling to Húsavík for an approximately three-hour whale-watching boat excursion, with opportunities to spot whales and other marine wildlife depending on natural conditions. Continue towards the Lake Mývatn region and visit Skútustaðir, known for its distinctive pseudo-craters and volcanic landscapes, before hotel check-in and dinner.

Day 04

Dimmuborgir – Námaskarð – Dettifoss – East Fjords

Explore Dimmuborgir’s unusual volcanic rock formations before visiting Námaskarð, known for its bubbling mud pools, steaming vents and colourful mineral deposits. Continue to Dettifoss, one of Europe’s most powerful waterfalls, before enjoying scenic drives through Iceland’s rugged countryside towards the East Fjords. Arrive at the hotel for check-in and dinner.

Day 05

East Fjords – Stone Collection – Jökulsárlón

Travel through the picturesque East Fjords, taking in coastal scenery, mountains and charming villages. Visit the Stone Collection to discover Iceland’s geological heritage, then continue to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, famous for its floating icebergs and spectacular glacial landscapes. Enjoy time to explore and take photographs before heading to your hotel near the Glacier Lagoon for dinner.

Day 06

Skaftafell – Reynisfjara – Skógafoss – Seljalandsfoss

Explore the Skaftafell region, known for its glacial scenery and rugged landscapes, before visiting Reynisfjara, Iceland’s famous black sand beach with striking basalt columns and dramatic sea stacks. Continue to Skógafoss, an impressive waterfall cascading down a high cliff, followed by Seljalandsfoss, surrounded by scenic countryside. Enjoy photo stops and sightseeing along Iceland’s south coast before arriving at the hotel in Hella for dinner.

Day 07

Gullfoss – Geysir – Friðheimar – Þingvellir

Discover Iceland’s famous Golden Circle sightseeing route, beginning with Gullfoss, known for its powerful cascades. Continue to the Geysir geothermal area to witness Strokkur, the active geyser that regularly erupts. Visit Friðheimar Farm, featuring a geothermal greenhouse and Icelandic horse stables, before exploring Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with historical significance and a unique geological landscape. Return to Reykjavík for hotel check-in.

Day 08

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and preparing for your onward journey. Transfer from Reykjavík to Keflavík International Airport without a guide, taking home memories of Iceland’s glaciers, waterfalls, volcanic landscapes and scenic countryside.

In rare cases, a change of itinerary might be necessary during programs in Iceland, should snow, road and weather conditions not allow to follow the scheduled itinerary, and certain outdoor activities/day tours might be cancelled. In this case no refund will be given, but wovoyage will try to find reasonable alternatives where and whenever possible

Yes, vegetarian food is available in Iceland, including vegetarian-friendly restaurants, Indian food, vegan cafés and supermarket options. However, choices become more limited in remote areas compared with Reykjavík. Keep ready to eat with you.

We’ll share a detailed document to help you prepare for the trip in a few days. A dedicated WhatsApp group will also be created 1-2 weeks before the trip starts.

After making payment for any trip, in the event that you change your mind within 24 hours, you will get the full refund except for Rs. 1000 towards handling charges. This is provided that at the time when you intimate us of cancellation, there are at-least 15 days before departure for domestic and 30 days before departure for international trip.

A mixed group trip means everyone can join, irrespective of their gender. We are organising a mixed group trip to give you the freedom to travel with your partner, friends, or siblings, making it a perfect opportunity to make memories together. You can join solo, too, of course.
