Itinerary
Day
01
Arrive in Leh (3,500m altitude) and transfer to the picturesque Sham Valley. Relax and acclimate while soaking in the tranquility of Ladakh’s pristine landscapes.

02
Visit Alchi and Rizong Monasteries, dating back to the 11th century. Continue to Aryan Valley, home to the fascinating Brokpa community, and stay in a charming homestay in Gharkhon.

03
Drive through scenic villages, passing ancient Buddha rock carvings, apricot orchards, and the cultural transition from the Aryan to Balti/Purig heritage. Arrive in Kargil by evening.

04
Enjoy an unforgettable drive to Kartse Khar and visit an 8.5-meter-tall Maitreya Buddha statue from the 8th century. Marvel at the Nun-Kun Peaks, Ladakh’s highest mountains, before returning to Kargil.

05
Explore Hunderman, an abandoned border village turned living museum. Pay homage to fallen soldiers at the Drass War Memorial, honoring the 1999 Kargil War heroes. Return to Kargil for the night.

Travel back to Leh, stopping at Lamayuru’s moon-like landscapes, the Basgo Fort, Magnetic Hill, and Pathar Sahib Gurudwara.

Cross Khardung La (18,380 ft), the highest motorable road in the world, and reach Nubra Valley. Enjoy a double-humped camel ride in the Hunder sand dunes and visit Diskit Monastery.

Drive via Shayok Valley to witness the breathtaking turquoise waters of Pangong Lake (13,000 ft). Spend the night by the lake under a starlit sky.

09
After sunrise by the lake, return to Leh, visiting the majestic Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace en route.

Bid farewell to Ladakh and board your return flight with unforgettable memories of the Apricot Blossom Trail 2025.
