Itinerary
Day
01
Upon landing at Moscow-Domodedovo Airport, meet your guide at the airport exit for the scheduled group pickup between 3-4 PM. You will be comfortably transferred to your hotel to complete registration and check-in (available from 15:00 hrs). The rest of the evening is completely yours to relax after your flight or begin exploring the nearby neighborhood at your own pace before your overnight stay in Moscow.
Notes
- Check-in is not until 15:00 hrs. You will have to wait in the lobby if you arrive early.
- Only one group pick up will be arranged.
- Pick up time will be between 3-4 PM.
- Immigration takes time so the exact time may vary.
- If your flight is not matching the pick up time then you can take a taxi to hotel directly.
- The hotel will do your registration before you check-in and please remember that after you check-out of any hotel you need to carry the registration slip with you till the end of the trip.
Day
02
After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby to discover Moscow’s top landmarks during an 8-hour vehicle service. Walk through the historic Red Square, enter the grand Moscow Kremlin complex to visit its key highlights and historic cathedrals, and then head to Sparrow Hills to enjoy a panoramic city view and take an exciting cable car ride over the Moscow River. Conclude your sightseeing with a deep dive into the famous Moscow Metro, marveling at its spectacular architecture, mosaics, grand chandeliers, and marble interiors before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day
03
Check out after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight north to Murmansk. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to settle in and freshen up. Bundle up in your warmest clothes, remember to carry your passport, and head out to the Kola Bay for an adventurous, optional ice-floating experience, leaving the remainder of the evening free for personal leisure.

- Bright colours in your clothes are recommended for taking beautiful pictures.
- Food is an issue in Murmansk for Indians so be prepared with ready to eat packets

04
Fuel up with breakfast and dress warmly with thermal undercovers for a drive to the remote village of Teriberka, sitting right on the shores of the Barents Sea—a magical sector of the Arctic Ocean. Along the route, witness a vast 360-degree tundra, the unique stones' garden, and the world's largest polar wind park. Afterward, enjoy a walking tour of the Teriberka Nature Park to explore the famous Dragon's eggs beach, discover the Dragon's lair, and admire the beautiful waterfall nestled in the red rocks before driving back to Murmansk for the night.

- Do dress warmly. We recommend thermal undercover.
- Don’t drink much as there are no washroom on the way to Teriberka.
- A lot depends on weather and road conditions, so please be cooperative.
Day
05
After breakfast, take a 2.5-hour drive to the Husky and Reindeer Park Lovozero, where you will spend a magical day hugging energetic huskies, enjoying husky and reindeer sledding, watching and feeding the reindeer, dressing up in indigenous Saami clothes, stepping inside traditional Saami tents, and learning the rich history of the far north people. In the evening, prepare for a 3-to-4-hour Northern Lights hunt accompanied by professional photography to capture stunning shots under the Arctic skies, subject to weather conditions.

- Aurora hunting is subject to weather conditions.
- Wovoyage is not responsible in case of an unsuccessful hunt for Northern Lights
- Your Aurora hunting tour may last for 3/4 hours so be prepared for the cold
- Your vehicle would be heated enough to keep you warm
- Your first northern lights tour can happen on any night depending upon the conditions
Day
06
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before transferring to the Murmansk railway station. Step on board a classic Arctic sleeper train to begin a nostalgic, 24-hour experiential rail journey to St. Petersburg where you will manage your own light luggage and enjoy the basic on-board amenities as the snowy Russian wilderness glides past your window.

- hot water is available so carry ready-to-eat meal.
- talking loudly on board is not allowed.
- this is experiential part of the trip so please be co-operative and be open to adventure.
- if you dont want to travel in train, you can take flight to St. Petersburg and book same hotel for one night on your own expense.

07
The train pulls into beautiful St. Petersburg today, where you will transfer directly to your hotel for check-in after 3 PM. The rest of the afternoon and evening are completely free to unwind, recuperate from the long train ride, or enjoy an evening of shopping down the city's vibrant avenues.

08
After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby for a 6-to-8-hour guided city tour of Saint Petersburg highlighting its major historical and architectural landmarks. You will visit the iconic Winter Palace and walk through the halls of the world-renowned Hermitage Museum, discovering immortal masterpieces by legendary artists including Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rembrandt, and Rubens while learning about the city’s rich imperial heritage before your overnight stay.

- Vehicle service is for 8 hours.
- You can fly back on 12th December from St Petersburg as well if you are okay with an expensive air ticket (flights from Moscow to Moscow are cheaper).
Day
09
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the station to catch a 4-to-5-hour high-speed train back to Moscow. Upon reaching the Moscow station, a final private transfer will take you directly to the airport for your final drop-off by 12 PM, concluding your tour as you prepare for your return flights home.

Once we receive your confirmation, we’ll share a detailed document
to help you prepare for the trip 2-3 weeks before. A dedicated
WhatsApp group will also be created 2-3 days before the trip starts.
It is difficult to get vegetaian food options. So please carry ready to
eat meal packages from India.
A group pickup will be arranged; therefore, we recommend booking
your flights only after consulting with us. Please note that individual
pickups will not be provided in case of early or late arrivals outside
the designated schedule.
Most Wovoyage travellers join solo. With double sharing, we pair you with another traveller from your group. If you would like your own space, choose a Private Room while booking (where available).
Cancellation terms depend on how close to departure you cancel - the full schedule is on our Cancellation Policy page. If a trip is cancelled due to unforeseen events (natural calamities, strikes or similar), the amount paid is refunded as transferable travel credits.
